Delete inactive variable set from catalog item

Hi all,

Is there a way to remove a (deactivated) variable set from a catalog item after it's published?

I created a catalog item and included a variable set.  End user and I went in a different direction and I just deactivated the variable set and forgot to remove it before publishing (via Catalog Builder).

I know it's a small thing and not necessary, as I can leave it deactivated on the form, but I'd rather remove it as it's never been active on the item and I want to keep it clean.

I can't find any other community posts about this, or anything in the documentation.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @MBMRED ,

Yes , you can remove it.
Even after the catalog item is published, you can:

-> Open the Catalog Item record (not Catalog Builder)
-> Go to the Variable Sets related list
-> Remove the variable set from there

Hope this resolves your issue 😊Mark this correct and close the thread if it helped 👍

Assuming you have access to the variable sets table, you can type item_option_new_set.list in the all menu. This will load the table, then you can search for the name of your variable set. Once you find it, you can delete it, as you would any record.
