One of our clients has a problem with the SolarWinds Service Graph connector. Typically, it is a set of data sources that extracts information through an API. When trying to obtain information from the client, we can see that the data does not arrive correctly to ServiceNow.
Instead of getting the "machinetype" (Device type, like switch, router, or firewall for example) to classify it in the CDMB, they are sending the device model (For example HPE 5900-AF-48XG-4QSFP+). They claim that they have not modified the way SolarWinds works and do not understand why their information is incorrect.
This is a question for those of you who have implemented the SolarWinds Service Graph Connector. Have you ever encountered a similar error? How did you resolve it?
