How to modify Hardware Asset "Display Name" properties??

How can I modify the "Display Name". We do not need the Asset Tag number there.

There should be a business rule which is attaching the Asset tag to the display name.

Please check your business rules.

There is a OOB BR "Calculate display name" which does this. you can remove the 1st condition 4m business rule current.asset_tag.changes()

I'm not a programmer, this scares me to edit here. What do I need to do to remove the "Asset Tag" in the display name?

OK, I'm confused . . . .

So, in order to find out what fields populated what columns I created an asset and put in the field names in each field. Here's what it came up with:

This makes no sense to me . . . .

The "Display Name" is the Asset Tag + Manufacturer + Name

and shouldn't the "Model" actually be the Model (or Model Number) and NOT the Manufacturer + Name?
