Need to creat a report with a trend of last year with each month data for Inc opened - Inc closed .

I need to creat a report for every month of an year 

I need the backlog graph of an incident in trends form 

Backlog = no. Of incidence open -no. Of Inc closed each month..

Hi @Neel 

Please create a report as shown below:

1) Navigate to the module "Create New" in Report as shown below:

Now select your Table as Incident and click on Next as shown below:

Now Select the Type of Report as trend as shown below:

Configure the Trend as shown in screenshot below:

Save the Report and you will get the report you want as shown below:

If you want to look at the trend for a particular year you can also put a filter in this report to see only for a particular set of year as well.

@shloke04 Thank you but This is no monthly report of the open backlog, But this is just a trend report of the open incident per month.... I need backlog graph of each month Where backlog is Incident in (new, on hold , resolved ) state minus (-) Incident in (closed, cancelled)

In that case the option which I can think of how you can show this is by using a Multi Dimensional report where you have the flexibility to show both State and Created Month as well as shown below:
