Add Icon against catalog item in Mobile app and not in Desktop

Hi,

I want to be able to add an image against each catalog item (record producer) in the mobile app. 

When I add a .png image as a picture, it also adds a very big picture the catalog item on the desktop and it does not look very appealing. How can I add to the mobile app without having to add to the catalog item form OR then how can I manipulate the form to make it look better ?

If I reduce the size to 16X16 the icon against the catalog item looks fine. 

When I open the form it does not look right

Finally, the icon on the mobile app is all fuzzy now as I have reduced the size. 

I am happy to have the icon on the mobile app without having this image displayed on the desktop, Is this even possible ?

Thanks for this, in which case it feels like I am wasting a little time here. Would creating mobile items as someone has suggested work using Item Designer ?

I wouldn't suggest create new item and set Availability to "Mobile Only", you will be having two catalog items one for desktop and one for mobile. This is not good to manage catalog items.

You could resize the image using open source online tools or officially from your client or try converting the image type.

Keep the same image for both desktop and mobile and be consistent across devices.

Agreed. I would not create separate catalog items. You'll be in a maintenance nightmare. Perhaps open a HI ticket and ask if there is another way or if their documentation is incorrect/outdated.
