Dear Community.
I have enabled AI Search on our dev(development platform) and test(testing platform). I did all the steps the AI Search Guide told me to do. After testing for some time, we realized, that the AI Search has no better search results than before it. The fields meta,short_description and description are missing in the Index Source Field Settings & Mappings. We added them as you can see below. But the results are still the same. Why is it so? Any ideas? Did we miss something?

Hello @JanaT ,
It looks like you've done a great job adding the missing fields (meta, short_description, and description) to the Field Settings & Mapping for the Catalog Item Table. If you're still not seeing any improvements in the search results, here are a few things to check and some steps you can take:
Rebuild the Index: After making changes to the indexed source by adding those fields, it's important to re-index the table. Based on the screenshot, it seems like the table may not have been re-indexed yet. Make sure to use the Index All Tables or Index Selected Table/s option to refresh the index. This step is crucial for incorporating the new fields into the AI search results.
Check Field Boosting: Ensure that the fields you added (short_description, description, and meta) are marked as searchable and have the right boost values. The weights assigned to these fields can impact how search results are ranked, so adjusting their boost values might help improve their relevance.
Review Search Configurations: Double-check if any other search configurations, like synonyms, stop words, or search profiles, might be affecting your search results. You can also utilize the AI Search Preview tool to see how your adjustments impact search behavior. Keep an eye on how users interact with the search; you may need to fine-tune relevance based on their feedback to enhance the search results over time.
If you've gone through these steps and the issue persists, it might be worthwhile to dig deeper into the AI Search configuration and search profiles to identify any further issues.
I’m not an expert, but I did my best to share all the knowledge I have to assist you. If you found my response helpful, I would appreciate it if you could mark it as helpful or like it.

Hi @JanaT,
Try deleting the indexed documents and running the indexing again.
