Is it a best practice to show relationships between Assets? If so, how can it be done in ServiceNow?
Example: Two component devices are connected to each other to work as a single unit. They can be purchased and tracked individually in ServiceNow. But, if I want to show the relationship\dependency between these two assets in ServiceNow for financial reporting, how it can be done? Yes, I know the corresponding component CIs can be related in ServiceNow but finance team only sees assets not CIs and they would like to see total value by grouping dependent component assets.
Thanks.

Hi, OOB Assets have a parent field which could be used to identify a parent\child – chassis\card type relationship.
Otherwise you could utilize bundled models, where there is a relationship but no single asset is a parent.
