Can we use ITOM ServiceMapping with data from an external source

Our customer has purchased the ITOM licence package so has Service Mapping.

 

They would like to use an external tool to discover CI's - can we use the ServiceMapping application to map the relationships when the data comes from an external product i.e. SolarWinds.

 

In short can we build a CMDB with relationships using SolarWinds and ServiceNow Service Mapping?

Absolutely! In most of the cases, this is even the standard scenario.
