Hi all,
Below I have a multi-row variable set open in the variable editor, which is in a custom scoped table. Records on this table are created using a record producer.
The expectation is that when the field ‘Presently living here’ is marked as ‘Yes’, the field ‘To’ should be hidden. This works well in the record producer, and the Catalog UI policy is also marked to work in the target record view.
However, the Catalog UI policy only gets triggered on load, not when the ‘Presently living here’ field is changed. I verified this by enabling ‘Run scripts’ on the Catalog UI policy; the scripts in the ‘Execute if true’ or ‘Execute if false’ blocks do get executed on load in the target record view but not on change of ‘Presently living here’.
It seems to be an issue with the platform, but I wanted to check with the community before opening a ticket.
Thanks,
Ravish

I tried something similar in my Xanadu PDI. The variable was hidden and shown as expected when adding or editing a row on the target record, both with and without the condition satisfied when editing the row, and when changing it to be/not be satisfied. I did this on an incident RP in the global scope. What version is your instance? Is the Catalog UI Policy in the same scope as the Record Producer and target table?

okay, it is strange. I too tried it in my Xanadu PDI and it works fine. Our instance with the issue is on Washington. Yes, the scope is the same.

Hi @Ravish Shetty,
According to the problem listing, there is PRB1694982 associated to certain date formats causing a ui policy issue for Service Catalog Items. I'm not sure which Washington DC Patch Version is supposed to correct the issue, but this could be a good jumping off point for your research/remediation.
You may need to upgrade/patch your Instance to the version that fixes this issue.
Hope this helps!
Josh
