Hello,
We are planning to integrate ServiceNow with Microsoft Intune and need some clarification:
- With the Intune integration, is the primary purpose to pull device/asset data and store it in the ServiceNow asset or CMDB tables? Or are there additional use cases supported by this integration?
- Is the Intune integration always a single-direction integration (i.e., data flows only from Intune to ServiceNow)? We currently plan only to retrieve asset data and do not intend to send any data back to Intune. Is that correct?
- If its by direction what data we need to send to them ?
- Is it mandatory to enable any specific plugin for this integration, or can it be implemented using standard REST APIs?
- What is the Service Graph plugin? Is it mandatory for integrating Intune with ServiceNow?
- If the requirement is only to retrieve asset data from Intune, is the correct approach to configure Intune API access in ServiceNow, schedule a job to fetch data periodically, and insert/update records in the asset/CMDB tables?
Could you also advise on any additional considerations before implementing this integration?

Hi @ramesh_r I suggest to use Service Graph Connector for Intune which is built by ServiceNow considering all the best practices and that will help us to bring up the end user devices data from intune to CMDB different tables. The data would be such as Windows system, MacOS system, Mobile devices and their software inventory.
also I request you to go through the below docs site where it is explained nicely step by step
let me know if this helps!

We integrated our ServiceNow to Intune and we use to populate CMDB workstation data, who the computer is assigned to, and we are also using it to check if the computer is encrypted, if not encrypted we are creating a follow up task for the regional IT check the encryption.

whatever @Luiz Lucena mentioned about the encrypted and jailbroken all that is CMDB Health Compliance Use case which you can track and generate the follow up task.
however, firstly, populate the data from intune to CMDB tables using service graph connector and then perform 3C’s in those data to maintain your CMDB Health Dashboard.
