In the background, when adding a new decision table, a new database table is created with a name like [var__m_sys_decision_input_1234567890abcdef1234567890abcdef]. I assume this is free of licencing but the documentation does not specifically exclude these tables from the licensing model.
Can someone confirm the licencing impact of creating new decision tables: do they count as a new custom table?
Thanks in advance

As always it was hard to get a clear answer when you speak with them directly, because normally what they do is ask someone internally haha.. But they said it is not counted towards custom tables. And I found the "Decision Builder" on the ServiceNow Store, and it says directly it has no subscription impact whatsoever: "ServiceNow Built Store Downloads: Out of the Box Store features and applications built by ServiceNow do not require custom table entitlement unless the out of the box application is extended."

Hi,
I would suggest any topic related to licensing should be taken up with you client account manager form ServiceNow.
All clients can have different offers and deals and maybe cost as well.

Does this mean that Decision Tables are part of the licencing model, or excluded in the same way that other tables are excluded (as per https://www.servicenow.com/content/dam/servicenow-assets/public/en-us/doc-type/legal/custom-table-gu.... If they are excluded then we don't need to ask the account manager.
I ask because only a developer would know about the tables created in the background, so they might be exempt

Decision tables should be exempted but that is my opinion.

“Custom Table” means any non-ServiceNow provided table created or
installed by or on behalf of Customer on the ServiceNow platform and used for
any purpose, including the creation of a custom application, unless such table
is specifically exempt.
I most certainly believe it is outside of licensing, as these are ServiceNow tables. I have never had any issues with it - neither as a client or consultant! In the excempt tables you are creating your own tables, extending exisitings ones and with a prefix of ("u_"), which is not the case here as it is a platform functionality.
I am 99% sure that it is free of licensing but of course, you'll never know.. But it would be ludicrous if it wasn't free.
