Hi. I'm in the survey designer and I can happily add sections/categories within the survey, but there is no way to delete categories once added.
The documentation mentions under "Create a category in the survey designer" that "You can click the X icon in a category header to delete a category that you added in error."
However, there is no "X" displayed.
Can anyone help? Thanks

Hi @nwillmott ,
Once you answer a question for the survey you cannot delete the question. The only option is to mark it as inactive or edit the question.
Dragging it off the canvas will look like you removed it but upon saving the form, the question will reappear.
As a workaround you can always create a copy of your survey and then all your questions will become deletable (the X symbol will appear next to each and every question in the survey)
Note: You can only edit a survey that has the same application scope as that of your current session.
Refer to the following official documentation: Edit a survey in the survey designer

Hi. I had already seen somewhere that someone suggested copying the survey so that the X then appears, but it didn't. I don't understand why there isn't an X in the original survey in designer. It makes no sense that you can't remove a section.
Can you explain what you mean by this? "Note: You can only edit a survey that has the same application scope as that of your current session."
As far as I understand, I'm designing a survey, not answering it.
Any other ideas?
Thanks
Neil

Hi @nwillmott ,
"Note: You can only edit a survey that has the same application scope as that of your current session."
This means your Scope should be your current Application Scope.

Hi - thanks for your reply. I've been told by my ServiceNow developer that I'm not in the wrong "scope". I think it's a defect in ServiceNow and the only workaround I can find is that the section will not display if there is nothing in it.
