Difference between "cross-scope access" and "restricted caller access"

Hi all,

I have difficulties to understand, how both interact or complement each other. Is "restricted caller access" just a more granular of access definition? If so, why is there cross-scope access?
Can somebody please explain a little?

Thanks in advance.

Seb

I have found a resource that explaines RCA quite well. Look for this short web based training on SABA:

Also, I got in contact with a person internally and he sent me this table which makes it clearer as well:

Hi Sebastian,

Restricted caller access defines cross-scope access to applications.

So, to set access for the entire application, or to pre-approve or deny future requests from a cross-scope script or application, you can create a record in the Restricted Caller Access Privileges [sys_restricted_caller_access] table.

Hope now is more clear for you.

It looks like RCA is an HRSD specific feature.

So I am still looking for an exact explanation, which I haven't found yet. 😞

Hi Sebastian,

I'm wondering the same thing.  Have you got an explanation yet?

Thanks,
Jenny
