Does write ACL grant read access?

Just confirming, does write ACL grant read access automatically? Scenario is, if there is a read ACL defined and you didnt evaluate to true but you did evaluate to true in write ACL, does it give you both write and read access on that record?

No, Read ACL is must.
Until you have read ACL evaluate to true, user will not be able to see that data which means he won't be able to write/update (obviously).

Hi Ren,
As it's already mentioned by Muhammad and Allen I will also echo the same thing that without read ACL there is no use of write ACL and it's mandatory to have read access prior to write access.
