Exchange Web Services (EWS) for email outbound and inbound

Dear community,

has anyone used Exchange Web Services (EWS) for ServiceNow email outbound and inbound.

OOTB email account types are POP 3, SMTP and IMAP. No EWS.

Any input is much appreciated.
