flow designer Look Up Record If multiple records are found return first record - does this mean "oldest"

newbie question and i'm probably over thinking it but trying to resolve issues in a flow i'm developing:

for Action: Record Lookup, on the setting:

If multiple records are found action:

if set to "return only first record"   - does this mean return the OLDEST record or the first record that the query runs into (and how do i predict what that would be) ?

in my flow output there are two records the query should have found as options but it chose the 'younger' of the two records which was unexpected and not my desire.

thank you in advance!

Well, i just took another look and i think i know my confusion.

So it does appear that "return first record" means "return oldest record" in terms of Created date (not Updated date)

i'll leave this open for a bit to see if anyone else has a better elaboration or confirmation of my observation. thank you

I inquired with Support about having a Sorting option for Lookup Records and it seems like we need to create an Enhancement request for them to build that into a future release.

Now the Look Up Record step action has Order by and Sort type available
