Getting 'Invalid value for 'requested for''' error while trying to submit catalog items from Service Portal

Hi friends,
Whenever I am trying to submit any catalog item with non-admin users from portal end, It is not creating any request and aborting the action by displaying 'Invalid Value for 'requested for' ' error. I have seen some community articles for this but none of them has helped to get rid of this issue. For admin users , it is working fine.
Note: There are no catalog client scripts running on this item.
After displaying this error, it is immediately redirecting back giving no chance for me to inspect the error in console. However , I managed to take the screenshot of console .
Any help is appreciable,

Hi Madhuri,
Few things to check
1) is this happening for all catalog items or specific catalog item
2) check any before insert BR is present on RITM table

1) Yes it is happening for all items for non-admin and non itil users.
2) No business rules configured on RITM

Hi Madhuri,
Few questions:
1) when was the last time it was working fine?
2) did you recently upgrade the instance
3) any error in system logs

1)Last time August 16th , it is working fine
2) No upgrade happened.
3) Error:
One thing I noticed just now is , it is created Requests and RITM though it is displaying error message at portal end.All the records which I have created got created in sc_request table.
But in portal it is displaying error msg and redirecting to some dashboard homepage
