I'm auditing API transactions from the "guest" user to check for data leaks in ServiceNow, and I've noticed a large number of transactions where the syslog_transaction URL starts with "/api/now/amb/session/finish". ServiceNow docs indicate that "AMB" stands for Asynchronous Message Bus (AMB), but it's unclear to me why the guest user is accessing this API. Can anyone explain?

I'm seeing a lot of hung guest transactions in our active transactions (all nodes) module, starting near when we upgraded to Vancouver. the url they are almost all pointing to is: amb_session_setup.do which is confusing to our team as we cant figure out what's initiating these transactions, or why they keep getting hung.

I opened a HI portal request for this issue, and they provided me with this known problem record on it: PRB1741142. They advise it is supposed to get fixed in the Xanadu release.
