Hiding Fields from the OOB Filter on Widget

Hello Community,

We are using OOB filter solution for data table widget on service portal. We want to show only a few fields to be available for the filter criteria. Currently it shows all the table fields. Is there a way to show only the desired fields, please?

Hi,

You need to clone the widget and edit it as required.

There is no such OOB functionality to restrict.

Thanks for your reply.  I have a cloned copy of sn-desktop-filter widget but don't see a way to restrict/hide filter fields on it.

I havent done any such customization.

As per my knowledge only way to restrict that is to have READ ACL on that field so that the field will not be visible.

I dont think so there is any other option to do this.

@SUMANTH DOSAPATI  - Thanks for the reply again.

I am afraid number of read ACLs we require to create as the intention is to show just a few for the filter.

Moreover ACLs will apply on Native view as well whereas we need this restriction only for the portal widget.
