How are De-duplication tasks automatically created?

Hello,

I need to understand how the De-duplication tasks/Remediate Duplicate Task (reconcile_duplicate_task) are created? How is the process? in which table are the rules stored.

HI Jaissica,

1. After a duplicate CI is created

2. Run the discovery

3. Now the discovery creates a de-duplication task. 

The de-duplication task will have two or more ci in the related list [duplicate audit result]

oldest ci's discovery source is marked as ServiceNow 

Newest ci's discovery source is marked as duplicate

4. Click on Remediate and choose which one is correct ci and follow the on-screen instructions to delete the duplicate or change is attributes.
