Disable Connect Chat

You can disable Connect Chat to prevent users from being able to chat within the platform.

Before you begin

Role required: admin

About this task

Disabling Connect Chat removes all UI elements from the system.

Procedure

1. In the navigation filter, type sys_properties.list and press Enter.
2. Search for the glide.connect.chat.disabled property.
3. Set the property value to true.

In Tokyo, I did exactly that and my Connect Chat is still running.  Is there anything else that needs to be done?  I have enabled Agent Chat, which may have enabled Connect Chat as a side effect.

I also needed to do these steps, to ensure it still cannot be used.

• Make Active=false for all Connect Queues. chat_queue.list
• Open each of the above entries and set the Assignment Group value to empty
