Hi All,
We are planning on making our instance domain separated due to a requirement of different business units to have their data separated.
I would just like to know on how we can setup a service portal on this case. Will this be setup globally? how can we direct tickets to the appropriate domains?
or will it be setup for each domains?
Kindly advise us on this.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Joe,
Service Portal does not support Domain Separation yet.(Helsinki )
Admins can choose between creating separate portals per customer — or — one single, smarter portal where widgets are data driven (e.g. displaying the company logo and banner text based on the company of the user).
Is Helsinki Service Portal domain separated? Hope this may help you.
Thanks,
Syed

Will this be also the same case on Istanbul, our current version?
Just to clarify what you said, do you mean a global service portal is not yet supported but we can make a service portal for each domain?
Regards,
JM

Yes ., global service portal is not yet supported but we can make a service portal for each domain (Company).
Sorry I'm not sure about Istanbul ., but getting repeated questions about service portal in Istanbul ,seems like it has affected Istanbul too.
but for sure ServiceNow is working for this issue ., probably we can expect the solution in the upcoming patch/release.
Thanks,
Syed

You can basically build one portal. Then depending on the logged in user you can have different logos etc. Even hide widgets etc.
This needs to be tested more, I ain't a Domain Separation expert, but did some testing in my PDI to verify and if user from Company A goes to a record producer and creates an incident, that incident is created within that users (company) domain. Tested this with the OOB Record producer "Create Incident". I also did a test on a catalog item and it also put both the REQ and RITM in the correct domain. Look at the results below.
INC:
REQ:
RITM:
//Göran
