How do I create a new entry in the ecc_agent table? (New MID Server entry)
When using "New" I only can enter a name - not the URL to the actual server.
When using the Guided Setup (Use MID Server guided setup ) - the MID server list comes up empty - so I can't verify it.

Hi Lars,
You can't create a new MID server in this way. The MID server configuration on the MID server itself needs to be modified so that the MID will attempt to communicate with the instance with the URL you specify in the configuration. When the MID server connects to the instance, a record is automatically created in the ecc_agent table and you can then go in there, check everything is okay and then validate the MID server.
An individual MID server can only connect to one instance at any one time however you can install more than one MID server on the same host server so you could have one connecting to one instance and another MID server connecting to another environment. You would need to make sure there are enough resources on the host server to handle more than one MID server although non-prod MIDs can often be configured with fewer threads etc.
Regards,
Dave

Hi Lars,
Any update on this?
Can you mark my answer as correct, helpful and hit like if you were able to achieve the requirement. This helps in removing this question from unanswered list and helps users to learn from your thread. Thanks in advance.

I still haven't got any real help for this problem - just a link to a standard document that does not describe the problem.
