OOB there are a ton of notification options for folks to enable/disable. Can someone share where I might be able to limit the areas that folks can turn on/off their notifications.

Here is what I found on this topic after great discussion here: While neither of these actions allow to "hide" the notification preference, it at least lets you control who can subscribe and unsubscribe.
There are two options for notifications (Force and Mandatory) that will determine how the notifications appear to the end user. I would like for the
In Geneva
Forcing will force the notification no matter what the user has set as their notification preference.

Setting as Mandatory will set the notification as mandatory, but will allow the user to unsubscribe from the notification if desired.

Thanks all for the responses! Am I gleaning that there is no way to limit what notification preferences are available to all users? Just looking to simplify the list as we are not using all of the notifications/modules that call the notifications.

There's one thing you can test... each notification has a "Subscribable" option. Create a new one with it turned off and see if it shows up in the notification preferences list (or not).

Good point Chuck, I am not aware what this feature does - is it new? (G or H?)
Might also be useful to note, that "Force Delivery" should prevent any users opting-out (even if they have turned it off in their preferences) for particularly pertinent notifications you wouldn't want them to miss..

I see it in the table in Geneva, but not on the Notification form (not even in Advanced view). It's under "Who will receive" in Helsinki by default.

Subscribable notifications were available since Aspen or even before that. It allows users to subscribe to those notifications if they want to receive. This has nothing to do in listing out the notification preferences. Earlier version of ServiceNow, user only sees notifications that they receive and interface was editable so that you can show specific notification preferences and not the ones that User is not supposed to see. In the Geneva and Helsinki this is an issue. User can see all the notifications whether they receive it or not including some system related notifications that we create e.g. MID Server or LDAP etc.
