How do I unretire a Knowledge Base article back to its Published state?

Hi,

I just retired some Knowledge Base article but now I need them again. Is there a way to pull it out of retirement and put it back to its Published state in workflow? In other word, how do I bring back retired knowledge base?

Thanks

giangpham depending on your role, you can view articles in a retired state. As an example, in the ServiceNow HI instance Retired is an option in our navigation.

I browse to the retired article and and in the top-right corner, I can choose to move states.

If you need to do this for a significant number of articles, you could do an update from list view (after applying appropriate filters), and do them all quickly. That would likely need to be done by an admin on your side and is riskier because you'd have to make sure you're only update the right articles. It'll just depend on how much content you need to update.

Hello,

I am facing the same problem.

I have admin role but I can not see any "move states" in the corner?   ( I'm currently testing on an developer instance)

I could not find anything to be able to republish the article?

Thanks

Christiane

Hello,

Where is the "move state" option? I can't find it anywhere in the right corner.

Thanks,

Giang

This is going to depend on your roles, version, and customizations. I can't tell you exactly how to do it in your environment, but I can tell that it can be done.
