How to add attachments to a form?

Gilbert Escobar

Hi,

Can someone show me the Steps on "How to add attachment(s) to a form?"?

The catalog item form has an Update button which when clicked brings up the File Manager "Open" dialog where you can choose the folder and file to attach to the form.

Thank you so much.

Gilbert

Hi Ankur,

Here are additional details:

The catalog form has an Update button similar to the Add button where we use the "Add row to multi-row variable set (SP)" instead of like "Click a UI Action".

Once the Update button is clicked, the File Manager dialog pops up where we can select the path or folder and the file to Open or Attach to the form.

Do I use the "Click a UI Action" Step or the "Add Attachments to Form" Step?

Do you have any recommendation on where to put or save our Attachments so that anyone in the QA team will be able to run the test and be able to access the file(s) to attach?

We are using the Yokohama version.

Please let me know if more details are needed.

Thanks.

Gilbert

Hi Ankur,

I tried using the "Add Attachments to Form" Step and in the first Update (not sure why it was not called Upload), I attached a small file (.png) or a screenshot.

For the second Update button, I attached a sample Word document.

When done manually, I was able to upload both attachments and was able to Submit or Order the catalog item form.

When I executed my ATF Test, I am getting the error "Invalid table" and the Log file shows

"Did not take UXF snapshot: TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'getFilteredComponentInstances')"

Is that error something I can just Add to the Ignored list to resolve this "Invalid table" error?

Thanks.

Gilbert
