Hello,

We use OOTB service portal, we have a record producer called Report a Problem where we submit by putting the details and hit submit. When i look at my tickets i see like below and its getting hard to identify what ticket it is about.

So we wanted to display the incident description as well, what ever i put it is mapped to description at the incident table

https://XXXXXXXXX.service-now.com/sp?sys_id=ad9ae6cd1bc2411kjuacfe6fdc4bcbfe&view=sp&id=ticket&table=incident

Please help me how to add description to the current widget/page

Hi,

Navigate to Standard Ticket -> Standard Ticket Configuration.

Open incident table configuration

find_real_file.png

Go to Info Region Tab. If you want to display description next to Caller and Urgency then add Description in Info Fields

find_real_file.png

OR Select Always under Show Description Select box

find_real_file.png

I was able to find where to set the Show 'Description' to Always. However when you look at the description in the service portal it does not keep any carriage returns that were put into the description field.

As can be seen above (I'm testing this in a PDI) in the ITIL User view there were carriage returns put into the description field, however they do not carry over into the Service Portal view.

Does anyone know of a way to set it up so that it keeps the formatting?
