How to enable encryption for variables on catalog item

Hi All,

We have a requirement to encrypt some fields, it's working fine for fields on table level, but now we need to encrypt some variables also,any suggestions?

But if i do this masking of variables, data is not even visible to requester also it's coming in password format

in the mask variable's type specifiction, you will need to enable encryption
