Hi,
I want to disable the portal suffix (esc) provided by OOB.
But no active items found.
Do I have to delete the record? Is there any other way?
Regards,

users can still open bookmarks etc etc
another way would be ,here you can change the page id which has been used on the portal eg: for index page, add prefix index_nolonger .
According to me , deleting is not a solution because its OOTB portal.
@Mi: would it be possible if you can add possible scenario here ? can you try and let me know if its not fulfilling your need.

i would not recommend to delete it,
can you try this way, if user access the portal it wont open , it will show an error that page does not exist.
give a try.
eg: sp portal , i dont want user to access it , so i will add 404 in homepage and empty the main menu field value.

For the mainpage indeed this would be a nice alternative. Though be aware, users can still open bookmarks etc etc.. This alternative only addresses the mainpage.
There's just no good solution for deactivating (out-of-the-box) portals. I agree deleting is not what you actually would want to do, though at this moment the only way to prevent users from accessing these portals.
Kind regards,
Mark
