I want to enable the "Post a Question" functionality in Service portal

Hi,

We have a functionality called Social Q&A, once enabled we can see the "Post a Question" in knowledge module.

The requirement is to replicate the same functionality in the Service portal.

Got many reference related to "Ask a Question" in which the functionality is entirely different. But here we require "Post a Question" functionality in the Service portal.

Can anyone please guide me how we can implement this.

There are a bunch of widgets that are OOB.  Such as SQANDA Create Question, SQANDA Question, and SQANDA Related Questions.  You can use these to get the functionality.  You should also already have a page called FAQ(s) kb_socal_qa_question that you can link to.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for your quick update.

Yes I have tried the above OOB widgets.

There is a major difference between the "Post a Question" and "Ask a Question" functionality.

"Post a Question" is majorly for Knowledge Base. Once you click on "Post a Question" button it opens page where you can select the knowledge base and category associated with it. Attached screenshot for your reference-kb2.png

"Ask a Question" is almost similar but its more generic and we do not have the option to select the knowledge base or the category. I tried the above widgets and most of these are specially for "ask a question" functionality. Attached screenshot for your reference-kb1.png

Can you please guide me on which specific widget is having "Post a Question" functionality.

Adarsh

Sorry use SP SQANDA Create Question.  This should not allow you to pick a KB.

Can you please guide me on which specific widget is having "Post a Question" functionality.

My requirement is to pick the KB and the categories associated with it 🙂
