Importing groups and group members without creating duplicates

Since the groups and group members do not come up in the update set, what is the best way to import the users into the groups in bulk?  Also is there a way to automatically set the type field as well for each group?

Are the groups pulled from AD? Or were they created in SN and aren't the same?

Then as far as duplicating users etc. if you coalesce off the user_id field, there definitely won't be duplicates.

The groups were not pulled from AD, they were created in SN.

I think with that, you'll have to manually assign them. Unless you had replicated that information with AD and then let it sync, but either way, you'd have to manually do that too.

If they were members in the other instance you can try to do the export/import I mentioned before and see if it just overwrites what you have.

With: sys_user_grmember.list

Ok thanks for the help, I am putting them in manually in the test instance and then I will export from that table sys_user_grmember.list

Sounds great!
