Inter-article links within Agent Assist do not work

We have several knowledge articles that link to each other using a URL formatted as "?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB00111111".

 

This setup works correctly in CORE view, allowing users to click on a link to open another article. However, in Agent Assist within an incident record in Service Operations Workspace, clicking the link does not open the intended article; instead, it redirects to the main ServiceNow Welcome page service-now.com/now/nav/ui/classic.
