KB How "Attach to incident" works ?

Hi All,

While referring Knowledge Article to any incident/problem, how "Attach to incident" button works.

When we click on "Attach to incident" than, knowledge article gets attached to incident/problem, I wanted to understand the working of this button.

Actually I need to do some customization in it, like where to attach, which field of incident will be filled with knowledge article detail etc.

You can change what field your article will be published in from "Knowledge Base ->Properties".



Look for this field in the bottom of the properties list


When attaching an article to an incident, copy the content into this field:

I am able to get the article in incident, even it attach's knowledge article when I click on "Attach to Incident". What I am looking for is How "Attach to Incident" works? Is there any ui macro/ui page for this ?

If I'm not wrong it's an UI Macro named "kb_view_attach_button".



The "mark as solution" button should be this UI Macro "solution_button"


This must be the macro for that 'kb_view_attach_button'
