Merging completed update sets

According to Service Now's documentation merging completed update sets is possible. However it doesn't instruct as to how to select particular completed update sets, only that it does that. Trying their documentation out there is no way to selectively chose a particular set(s). Just see a listing of the completed update sets/ Is there a way I am missing how to selectively merge update sets?

Hi @Andrew C1

As you mentioned,  I too observe that there is no option for selecting update set directly to merge, unfortunately.

What can be done is to use filter option like this using (OR) to get to desired update sets like shown below:

Hi @Andrew C1

one thing - DO NOT EVER change state of update set if it was once complete, you will find articles that nothing can happen but occasionally it causes troubles.

Once completed, always completed... maximum is to Ignore but never to In Progress!!!

If you need to merge updates from two update sets, what I would do is to create a third and parent update set and add these 2 update sets below... this is the best option even for updates in scoped app, having a global parent will automatically handle the order of when updates were made etc.

So TL;DR create a global parent and add the two complete sets to it: Parent field on the child set or related list on the Parent one

So i get that these were completed and status had not been changed. however Service Now says I can merge completed update sets into a "parent" or new merged set. But as I stated there is now way to select completed sets to merge i.e i can filter on my name and see all the sets i completed but can see no way to select the ones I wish to merge. That is the crux of the issue.
