MID Server "Data Sources"

We are in the process of standing up new ITSM MID Servers in our enviornment with the intent of migrating to these new MID Servers and disabling our old(outdated) MID Servers on old physical servers.

As part of this we are looking at "copying" the fuction of the old on to the new.  Part of this are the "Data Sources" entreis on the old MID Servers.

The question is are these entries unique, i.e. should there only be one data source entry..as in unique named entry?

I've "moved" the current Data source entries to one of our new MID Servers.   I'm assuming there should only be 1 entry per instance.

We have also found a KB that says certain data sources should not be clustered, https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0789910
They list:
-LDAP
-Export sets
-JDBC data sources

Our data sources are all JDBC in nature.   We will be moving these to a non-cluster box once it's stood up.  Our new MID Servers will be in a clustered configuration for load balancing.

So to recap, should the data sources be unique in the instance or can there be multiple data source entries for the same thing/name on multiple MID Servers?
