Monthly trend charts on number fields in platform analytics?

I have number data fields in a table that are automatically updated daily, this number can go up or down on a given day, is there a simple way to report on monthly trends of this data?

for example on the last day of the month this No. was X and then report Month on month?

Yes, but I hope you are storing these numbers somewhere in a table. Alternatively, you can try creating a report with Type = Trend and then trend it by Created Date or another relevant field.
