Hello,
I customized my own Catalog item using Item Designer and I noticed the Process Engine tab is missing.
How do I get the Process Engine tab to show up? I need it so I can identify which flow it should trigger when this Catalog item is executed from the Service Catalog.
I appreciate any assistance anyone can provide. Thank you!

Hello Harriet,
The feature of having "Process Engine" is not available for the Item Designer. The purpose is for basic activities such as tasks, approvals. Below is the doc:
The item created in item designer is kind of staging one, you could have a look at its name. Once its published it is moved to sc_cat_item. Though it is turned to sc_cat_item, you can not have process engine defined for this item as the view named "Item Designer" is forced by rule.
Thanks,

Hi,
it should be present as section on the Catalog item form OOB unless somebody customized the form layout
Check any onload client script is hiding that form section
if you don't find that then from the list layout you can set the workflow or the flow you want
Mark ✅ Correct if this solves your issue and also mark 👍 Helpful if you find my response worthy based on the impact.
Thanks

Hi
Thanks for your reply, but that is not what I'm asking. I am looking for the Process Engine tab.
Here is an expected outcome I'm looking for:
Compared to my screenshot in my original post, I am missing that Process Engine tab. How do I get it to show up in my customized Catalog item that I created in Item Designer?
Thanks,
Harriet

Hi
Thanks for your reply. That's unfortunate because I need to be able to customized fields that are not readily available in the Service Catalog's create item feature. With the Item Designer, I was able to create fields that weren't available in Service Catalog. Once that was complete, I need it to be triggered by a flow. Do you know how to do this with an item developed in Item Designer?
Thanks,
Harriet
