Hello,
Two groups write articles in the same KB. They have knowledge role. Is it possible to one of the two groups to publish articles in a category restricted to them only ?
Thanks in advance,
Yassine

No, the security model for knowledge does not provide a way to restrict access to categories. It can only be done at the KB or Article level.

Thank you Ronprice,
But even in article level, we can't make it non visible by the other group, because all users have knowledge role.
Is there a way to make an article non visible to the other group, even if its members have knowledge role?

I apologize for not being clear in my response. What I meant to say was that security can only be applied at the KB or Article level, NOT at the category level. So, to answer your second question - YES, you can make an article non-visible to a group. You can do so by attaching user criteria to the Cannot Read field at the article level. This will override the security settings at the KB level. Again though, this does not affect categories.

Thanks Ronprice. Yes you were clear about this point, but the problem is that the other group has "knowledge" role, so it overrides the "Cannot Read" user criteria.
