Restrict fields that are available on Agent Workspace "Edit" button

Hi,

 

We currently have a requirement where users want to be able to bulk assign records to a user (As they could previously on the non-workspace UI), the functionality we need is similar to the out of the box Edit {{count}} List Action, however this shows fields that we don't want our Service Desk bulk updating.

Is there a way to restrict the fields available in the window that appears for the Edit button, as part of our investigation we found that there is an action assignment for Edit ({{count}}), however we couldn't find anything in these records (or related records) that indicated where the new window functionality (and associated fields) were coming from. Any advice on where this can be configured would be a huge help!

Since you already found the action assignment for Edit button and there is no configuration to restrict the fields, As per my understanding I would say ServiceNow has not allowed you as an admin to configure those.

It might be coming from platform level.

Hello,

Check default view and see modifying default view fixes the issue, otherwise check 'Workspace' view and see modifying view fixes the issues, If none of them works then check with HI team once.
