Same catalog items in order guide

Hi,

It seems system does not allow us to trigger more than once the same catalog item on order guide at the top. We have more chekboxes for software and want to trigger at the top tab more Software catalog.

We set the rule base, the conditions, but always only one software item displays at the top after choose options.

Do you know why? How we can add the same catalog more than one?

Hi all,

This question came up in one of my classes recently so I figured it would be best to post my response here as well.

Basically this appears to be a limitation with our current design as each tab in an Order Guide represents a catalogue item and therefore each tab's ID is the sys_id of the item it displays. It is therefore not possible to have the same item displayed on more than one tab. I spoke to the development team and they informed me that we do not have any plans to enhance the design to include multiples of the same catalogue item. The best I can suggest is to log an enhancement request.

Would have thought ordering one PC and two monitors would be a fairly standard use case for Order Guide.

Seems I am wrong.

Is there any way to set the quantity of an item based on a variable?

one other option is to uncheck no cart on the monitor and train your workers to on checkout click the edit button by the monitor in the cart.. and set a quantity there...

Displaying quantity within an order guide is possible in Fuji and may even be possible in Eureka although I haven't tested the latter.

On the relevant rule within your order guide, simply uncheck the 'Use cart layout' and tick the 'Show quantity'
