Service Catalog Project Plan

Has anyone written up a Project Plan to develop a Service Catalog for their organization? Are you willing to share it? I was hoping to avoid re-inventing the wheel and would love to chat with others who are in the process or have deployed Service Catalog on their Service-Now instance. We are on Jakarta

We started with SN about 3 years ago. for our user we implemented ESS - Employee self services and this only had IT related Items in it, but now we want to add the Business Items also ... eventually have a full Service Catalog or Service Portal I don't know if there is a difference between service Catalog and Service Portal. Would you suggested add on to the existing ESS we have which I thought SN wanted user to get away from or implement Service Portal/Catalog and would it be a hard transition in you opinion

Service Portal is an alternative to the Content Management System (CMS) and a simple way to create portals for end users. It interacts with parts of the ServiceNow platform, so users can access specific platform features using Service Portal (for example, Service Calalog).
