I'm trying to configure templates that use tables within our knowledge base.
Several settings I'm applying to the table do not seem to carry over from edit mode when actually viewing the KB article.
For example, I have set cell padding and spacing to 5, which is visible in edit mode. When I save and try to view the article, it's as if these settings are not present. I've also tried setting border size, which also does not seem to carry over from edit to viewing the article.
I've testing in both Chrome and IE, so it does not appear to be a browser issue.

It doesn't happen often, but over the years I've found that form based HTML inserts/updates can sometimes corrupt the HTML. I've seen it a few times in Knowledge, especially when attempting to embed video. Also seen it in Notifications when the message HTML contains URLs with parameters. Something about the form converting the record to XML alters the formatting.
So what I've learned to do is grab the raw HTML, then go to the *LIST VIEW* for the table, add the column that will contain the HTML, double-click to cell edit, then drop my HTML in that way.
Crazy... but its worked for me on at least 4 occasions over the years.

This can be a problem with HR associates who are sometimes technology challenged. Has anyone figured out a solution for this? saruppaul might be able to help us out.

I would recommend to file a HI ticket with the steps to reproduce. Our support teams may be able to help, and if required create a PRB with the appropriate team. Adding tyler.jones to see if we can help.

saruppaul Unfortunately, we don't have permission to file an HI ticket.
