Unable to convert Read Only field to editable

- I have a read only due_date field on problem_task form.
I need to make this field Editable.
I have checked/verified/looked into all the following and nothing seems to be out of place.
UI policy - data policy
- client scripts
- ACLS
- Dictionary Override
What am I missing??
What is the magic bullet to convert this field from Read Only to Write?
All help is greatly appreciated.

Due date is editable out of the box.
Can you let me know when it becomes read only?

Hi @Amit Pandey When I go to "Create New" in Problem Application module, it opens up the new form with Editable due_date field.
Then when I fill in the required fields detail on the form and save, this save converts the due_date field to read only.
Any clues??

Hey @Zubair Alam,
If you're looking for a 'Quick Win' to open the field up for ITIL Users (or any other specified Role), you can do the following:
- Access the Problem Record
- Elevate your Permissions
- Click on your Profile in the Upper Right Corner
- Select 'Elevate Role'
- Click the Checkbox for 'security_admin'
- Locate the Field (due_date)
- Right Click and select 'Configure Security'
- Change the 'Operation to Secure' to Write
- Move the ITIL Role (or other Role) from the Available Column to the Selected Column
- Click OK
That should open the field up for Read/Write access.
