User preference: "Home" choice (homepages or dashboards)

In Quebec, UI 16, the Settings cog for user preferences (System Settings modal) in the upper right allows users to choose between Homepages or Dashboards (the "Home" preference under the "General" tab).

I have noticed that in San Diego, UI 16, this "Home" option is not appearing for me on my PDI.

Is there a way to enable these "Home" choices in San Diego under the "General" section in System Settings?

There is a free share app available to toggle between UI16 and Polaris UI.

If i am not wrong service now is moving away from HomePages and wanted that to convert to Dashboards. If i am not wrong there is a property to enable/disable the Homepages feature

Thanks Chalan, yes, I am aware that Homepages are more of a legacy feature and there has been a push towards using Dashboards for quite a while now.

I was simply trying to find out how to enable the 2 "Home" choices as seen in the first image I posted (from my organization's instance).

As you can see, the second image I posted (from a San Diego PDI) does NOT show these 2 "Home" choices that would allow one to toggle between defaulting to a Homepage or a Dashboard.

I had looked at a number of system properties in combination with user preferences but could not get that "Home" preference on the "General" tab to show up in my San Diego PDI.

In San Diego, there is a system property that you can set to false so that users can toggle between Homepages and Dashboards.

Set "com.glideapp.home.deprecate_homepages" to false and you will be able to see the option to switch to Homepages or Dashboards under Settings.
