Using a Wizard for a Service Catalog Item

I've searched through the forum but haven't seen anything that was clear to me but is it possible to use a wizard for a service catalog item? We currently have a service catalog item called 'Unit Number Request' that the department would like to convert into a wizard as the form is very long and complex. We'd like to split it into 4-5 steps and at the end for it to create the request, requested item and catalog task like a normal request.

I've gone to the wizard page on the wiki and that makes sense to me on how to build the wizard but how do I map the variables in the wizard to the variables in the service catalog item? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Aryanos

What is this item that takes so many steps? Is it actually multiple items? If so, have you considered an Order Guide? I have not worked much with Wizards, but the first thing I would consider is what are all the options on the form and why are they necessary first. If the reason is that it is simply determining what actual items and options associated with those items, an Order Guide might be a reasonable option.

Hi Ben,

The unit number form has a lot of fields so it would be nice to split it up instead of showing a really long form. Depending on the answer to some questions additional fields are required granted these can also be done using UI policies.

Hey, have you seen the out of the box wizard "Catalog Ordering" listed under System Wizards -> Wizards. I think you just have to create something similar to this.
