Viewing the structures of tables and data sources

Hello,

I am looking for some guidance on creating reports using tables and/or data sources.  As a starting point, it would be helpful to know the structure of the tables and data sources and how they relate to others.  This includes knowing the columns names as well as primary/foreign keys.  I am familiar with the ways that Toad handles this for Oracle objects, and I am hoping there are similar methods available in Servicenow.

Any help you can provide on this to get me started will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Dennis

Thanks for the reply @Dr Atul G- LNG

I must be clicking on the wrong thing.   When creating a new report with a selected table, I right-click and I see this:

Just for fun, I also tried creating an Incident like your example.  But when I right click on that, I see this:

In other words, I do not see a "Configure" option.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?  Thanks again.

Dennis

Hi @Dennis Hancy

The right click only work in form level not for reports. To create the reports you need to enter the table name manually.

In other words, I do not see a "Configure" option.

Yor are in the self service, please search Incident like this:

If you are not able to see this option, it means you dont have ITIL role or minimum role to access the Incident module.
