Hey Team.
I've been hunting and can't really find the answer to this question so maybe someone with experience knows it.
If you wanted to build basic functionality for non-IT or HR people, which module is the best to build it in?
e.g. facilities needs to receive key card requests, travel needs to receive requests to book, reception needs to receive requests for visitors, etc. etc. etc.
We were initially going to build them in ITSM but would rather use the appropriate tool as they won't need any of the other ITSM functionality.

based on the rare information you have provided, I would agree and also recommend using request management with a well-designed Service Catalog in the frontend. Both are not related to any of the products like ITSM or CSM but are platform features and can be used without additional charging. If you want to learn more about these topics please go to my collection page Service Catalog & Request Management

I second to Maik.
We did exactly like that.
But trust me, it requires a lot of planning and workflow development.

Hi @Blair Loveday ,
There are two ways how to create your requirement using the platform either through a Service Catalog or a Record Producer.
Both points mentioned are not module-specific. If you already have an ITSM license then you should also have platform capabilities. However, with the service catalog, you are bound into a structure while with a record producer, you will have more flexibility in creating your forms.
ITSM license is limited to several tables (50 tables if you are under ITSM Pro) if you go to the route of a record producer, a table is where you will be housing your data and will be the structure of your record producer be built upon.
To give you more clarity, I have created this visuals for your clear guidance.
Here is How:
