What is the OOB field 'User Input' of type 'User Input' intended use? Can we leverage it for our own purposes on extended tables?

What is the OOB Task Table field 'User Input' of type 'User Input' intended use?  Can we leverage it for our own purposes on extended tables?

Hi jwalton,

There isn't much info on the field type of user_input. There is a single reference to the field type as an "internal use" field type that is unavailable for custom fields on this doc page. While there doesn't seem to be any specific purpose on the task table and you could probably use it for your own purposes, I would recommend caution as these ServiceNow "internal use" fields are subject to change.
