what is the use of dynamic categories in service catalog and where to use it. Please help

Dynamic Categories : 

Dynamic categories let you organize and display commonly requested items and knowledge articles. Dynamic categories appear on the right side of the service catalog homepage by default.

Hi

Dynamic categories have a very limited usefulness.  Pretty much the only thing I've ever seen them used for is the out-of-box 'Top Requests' category.

There is field called "Search for how long" field on the form of dynamic category which displays the most commonly ordered Item or KB.
