First thing is that, If you have interest on coding/configuration then only you will choose Developer path.

Here Is your  step by step process:

1. Complete your CSA certification.

CSA preparation guide:

• First complete  ServiceNow Administration Fundamentals  course from ServiceNow University
• Practice again all lab task in The given learning instance.
• Practice in your Personal Developer Instance (PDI)
• Practice mock question with Correct Answer 
• Practice from ServiceNow university provided practice (If you have access) : https://account.measureup.com/servicenow-university
• Check the syllabus from  Certified System Administrator (CSA) Mainline Exam Blueprint
• If anything left or you are struggling with answering practice test, Revisit the course content.
• Once you are confident ,  Schedule the exam and Go for it.

2. Then prepare for CAD.

there's not anything like a roadmap to become a developer... some users can manage in 3 months, somebody else needs 2 years. Depending on many aspects - your background, skills and possibilities to dedicate time among others.

When you see the roadmap suggested by other users here, it's just AI generated nonsense without any validation and I would discourage you from following that.
